MCP server Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your tracked time.
TimeUno has an MCP server at https://app.timeuno.io/mcp. Connect it from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI or another MCP client, sign in to TimeUno, and ask what you worked on. If you allow it, the app can also pause tracking, add a note or mark something productive.
Start your 14-day free trial 14-day trial, then $14.99 a month. A TimeUno account with an active trial or plan is required to connect an AI app.
What the TimeUno MCP server does
TimeUno tracks the apps, sites and AI tools you use all day, without a timer. Its MCP server puts that record in reach of an AI app: ask “How much of today was productive?” or “What did I work on this week?” and the answer comes from your real tracked time, not a guess. With your say so, the same connection can pause or resume tracking, add a note, or mark an app or site as always productive or not.
Server URL: https://app.timeuno.io/mcp (Streamable HTTP)
You need a TimeUno account with an active trial or plan. There is no free tier, and every tool call refuses on a workspace without one.
Connect it
Adding the server opens TimeUno in your browser to sign in and approve the connection. Check the app’s name before you click Allow.
Claude
- Pro or Max (claude.ai or the desktop app): go to Customize, then Connectors, click Add, then Add custom connector. Name it TimeUno and paste the server URL.
- Team or Enterprise: an owner adds it once under Organization settings, Connectors, Add, Custom, Web. Each member then connects it and signs in to their own TimeUno account.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http timeuno https://app.timeuno.io/mcp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and sign in.
Cursor
Add a remote server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"timeuno": {
"url": "https://app.timeuno.io/mcp"
}
}
}
Cursor opens TimeUno in your browser to sign in the first time a tool is called.
Codex CLI
codex mcp add timeuno --url https://app.timeuno.io/mcp
codex mcp login timeuno
ChatGPT
Turn on developer mode under Settings, Apps, Advanced settings (on a Business workspace, an admin allows it first). Then go to Settings, Apps, Create, paste the server URL, choose OAuth, click Scan Tools, then Create.
What it can read and do
Reading, with the timeuno:read scope:
| Tool | What it answers |
|---|---|
get_summary | A day, week or month: time tracked, productivity score, productive share, focus, AI and idle time, top categories, apps, sites and projects. |
get_timeline | A day as a list of activity runs: app or site, window title, category, verdict and project. |
get_current_activity | What you’re doing right now, and whether tracking is paused. |
get_projects | Time per project for a week, with the week before for comparison. |
get_team_summary | For team owners and admins: each member’s time, productivity score, productive share and AI time. Never apps, sites or screens. |
Acting for you, with the timeuno:write scope:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
pause_tracking / resume_tracking | Pauses or resumes tracking, at once, across every device. |
add_note | Adds a note to the Activity timeline. |
set_productivity_rule | Makes an app or site always count as productive or unproductive; past matching time is updated too. |
What it sends, and what it never sends
A tool call carries your OAuth token and its arguments, such as a date or a note’s text, and TimeUno answers from time it already tracked. It never captures a new screenshot, keystroke or on-screen text to answer a call, and it never sends your data to the AI app’s model provider beyond the tool result the app itself chooses to show you. Full details, including where the data is hosted and how long tokens last, are in our privacy policy and the MCP setup guide.
Disconnect
Open Settings, then Connected AI apps, in the TimeUno dashboard, and click Disconnect. The app loses access at once and has to reconnect and get your consent again before any tool call works again.

Questions people ask
Does the AI app see my screenshots or on-screen text?
No. It only gets what a tool call returns: time totals, timeline entries, project names and the current activity. TimeUno never sends screenshots, on-screen text, your prompts or your code to a connected AI app.
Do I need a paid plan to connect an AI app?
Yes. Every tool call checks for an active trial or plan and refuses if the workspace has none. There is no free tier.
Which AI apps work with the TimeUno MCP server?
Claude (claude.ai, the desktop app and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex CLI and any other client that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP. Clients that support OAuth and Dynamic Client Registration connect without manual setup.
How do I disconnect an AI app?
Open Settings, then Connected AI apps, in the TimeUno dashboard, and click Disconnect. Access is revoked at once; the app has to reconnect and get your consent again before any tool call works.
Can my team's admin connect this for everyone?
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector once under organization settings. Each member still signs in to their own TimeUno account before any tool call runs under their name.
