Fix sign-in, sync and capture issues
The confirmation email doesn’t arrive
Check spam, then click resend the email on the “Check your inbox” screen. If the address had a typo, sign up again with the right one. Addresses with a + aren’t supported yet.
The app says “That sign-in took too long”
Connection requests expire after 15 minutes. Click Sign in in the app again and finish in the browser tab that opens.
The app says I’ve been signed out
The device was disconnected from the dashboard, or its connection was revoked. Click Sign in again in the app to connect it again.
I signed in but nothing is tracked
After connecting, the app and the extension show You’re all set. Click Start tracking. Tracking doesn’t start before that.
Nothing shows up on the dashboard
- Check that the computer is listed and recently active on the Devices page.
- Make sure tracking isn’t paused or stopped (the widget says Paused or shows Start session).
- If you were offline, the app catches up when you’re back online.
- If your plan has ended, TimeUno saves nothing new from your devices. See Plans and trial.
My browser shows as just “Chrome”
Install and connect the browser extension, and keep the desktop app running: on its own, the extension records only AI chats and background media. In private windows, the extension only works if you allow it there.
The extension shows an error card
- Signed out: click Pair again and connect it from your dashboard.
- Your plan has ended: TimeUno saves nothing new until the plan is active again. See Plans and trial.
- Allow access to TimeUno: the browser hasn’t let the extension reach TimeUno. Click Open settings, then Save to allow it.
- Check the server address: the server address in the extension’s settings must start with
https://. - Can’t reach TimeUno: you’re offline. Tracking continues and catches up when you’re back online.
No window titles or screenshots on my Mac
Allow Screen Recording in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording. See macOS.
Linux: no window titles
On GNOME with Wayland, install the TimeUno GNOME extension when the app asks, then log out and back in. On other Wayland desktops, use an X11 session. See Linux.
Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer
Choose More info, then Run anyway.
“Update required”
Your version is no longer supported. See Updates.
